Profile
Dr. Nimisha K. Patel joined KBIPER in January 2012 as a Lecturer in the department of pharmacology and clinical pharmacy. Ms. Kakadia has seven years of academic experience in the area of pharmacology and clinical pharmacy. She brings with her extensive experience in women's health issues like uterine fibroid, postmenopausal osteoporosis, PCOS, endometriosis, Infertility, POI etc. Her research is focused on utilising integrated physiological and pharmacological approaches with biochemical and molecular techniques to study disease states, underlying mechanisms of disease and drug actions, with a view to identifying novel mechanisms, therapeutic targets and agents with a clinical and translational focus. She is also involved in research and developmental activities in the areas of clinical pharmacy.
At KBIPER, Ms. Kakadia is involved in teaching human anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, pharmacotherapeutics, clinical pharmacy, pharmacovigilance to B.Pharm, Pharm D. and M.Pharm students.
Research area of interest
women's health issues like uterine fibroid, postmenopausal osteoporosis, PCOS, endometriosis, Infertility, POI, systemic review and meta-analysis
