Pharm.D. / Pharm.D.-PB
The Pharm. D program is a professional doctor degree in pharmacy. The Pharm. D degree requires five years of classroom and hospital based didactic study, followed by one year of internship or residency in addition to ongoing practical and research project. Pharm D curriculum is inclined towards clinical pharmacy services that are in direct contact with patient health care system. The curriculum includes various specialized areas like clinical pharmacy, hospital and community pharmacy, pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, clinical research to name a few. After completion of this course, students can work in the areas of clinical pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, patient safety, medical writing, drug information services, pharmacoeconomics and epidemiology, public health, academic clinical pharmacy, and clinical research.
